Little Blessings by Anne Geddes

For as long back as I can remember, I have loved Anne Geddes’ photographs.  I remember having a calendar several years ago that featured the beautiful babies she photographs. I love the way each one is nestled in a flower. Her new gift book has her gorgeous photographs paired with poems.  Each photograph is beautiful and full sized.  Throughout the book are scattered poems, quotes and proverbs about babies, children and expectant mothers.

A few of the photographs were of expectant mothers and, like most of Anne Geddes’ photographs, they are covered a bit scantily but there nothing inappropriate showing at all. There is also an older girl wearing a tutu included in the photographs as well as a topless man who is holding a baby.  These photographs are all tasteful and beautiful but it is a slight difference if you are expecting only babies in the book.

  1. This sounds like a great book to give to either expectant or new parents. Her photographs are superb. Coupling them with poetry can only make them better.

  2. I love her photos. My sister would love this book because she is due in August Thanks for sharing.

  3. I’ve been an Anne Geddes fan for years too. I love baby photography of any kind, but she seems to capture something that you don’t get elsewhere. I’ll have to check this out!

  4. Ha, ha, yes I prefer all babies! I never get tired of her pics and love that she keeps taking them. The babes look so peaceful don’t they?
