Do you remember Fraggle Rock from when you were younger? Fraggle Rock was one of my favorite shows, and the kids both loved watching it when it came on. One of our favorite characters from Fraggle Rock were the Doozers.

The Doozers are a race of characters from Fraggle Rock that love to work. They’re little and green and are found wearing construction helmets and tool belts. If you loved the Doozers as much as we did, you’ll be thrilled to learn that there are Doozers Pod Squad DVDs you can watch with the kids!  Doozers Spike, Molly Bolt, Flex and Daisy Wheel make up the Doozers Pod Squad.

There are two new Doozers Pod Squad DVDs available right now: Meet the Pod Squad and Pod Squad Boogie. Both of these DVDs feature characters from the hit Jim Henson show, Fraggle Rock.

• Meet the Pod Squad: Spike, Molly Bolt, Flex and Daisy Wheel, who bounce from one fabulous kid adventure to the next. They love to design, create, and innovate. These Doozers are doers – they put their ideas into action and always manage to have a fantastic time. Enjoy eight STEM-based adventures with the Doozers.
• Pod Squad Boogie – The Pod Squad is performing in the Starlight Concert, but when they hear other Doozers singing, the group decides they need to do something unique to stand out from the crowd. Using the sights and sounds around them, they each discover their favorite sound and invent new instruments inspired by them. Enjoy seven other stories focusing on music, dance, and art all with science tie-ins.

I love that these two Doozers Pod Squad DVDs encourage science. I struggled with science as a child, and I know if there had been this type of focus on learning it wouldn’t have been such a challenge for me.

It’s hard to pick a favorite when all the episodes are so adorable but if I had to, I loved Butterfly Away on Meet the Pod Squad! The monarch butterflies arrive in Doozer Creek for the monarch butterfly migration. I have always been fascinated with the monarch migration, and I love that this DVD puts their journey into a story the kids can understand.

If you’re looking for another fun Doozer DVD, I loved the Doozer Re-Users episode on Pod Squad Boogie. Flex’s hard hat is broken, and he’s sad when he learns he needs to get a new one because the broken one won’t be as safe when it’s fixed. They visit the hard hat hut to learn what happens to old hard hats and learn more about recycling and re-using.
