Journaling can help adults and children think creatively, figure out their goals and dream about their future. When I’m stressed or can’t organize my thoughts, I often turn to journaling as a way to gain focus. As I read the Bible, I often jot down notes or questions in my journal to give me things to think about over the week. The Plans I Have For You Book Review

Reading the Bible can be challenging for younger kids. I have problems figuring out what some of the passages mean as an adult. In a case like this, having your child learn about God’s word by reading a devotional can be really helpful especially if you use it along with a journal.
The Plans I Have For You Devotional is an illustrated 90-day devotional written by bestselling children’s book author Amy Parker and illustrated by Vanessa Brantley-Newton, teaching and inspiring kids to dream about their future, to focus on faith, love, and joy, and recognize that God has a plan and purpose for each and every one of us. This is a hardcover book that is recommended for ages 8 to 12.
The Plans I Have For You Journal prompts creative thinking and exploration of the talents and personalities that make us special and then helps explore how God may use our unique traits to spread love and joy and make the world a better place. This is a paperback book that is recommended for ages 11 to 14.
The Plans I Have For You Journal and Devotional go together so your child would read the lesson in the Devotional and then go to the Journal and complete the activity. Some of them are writing and some are drawing. The Journal asks questions to encourage your child to think of an answer or response.
This is very helpful for the child who isn’t sure what to write. the drawings and illustrations in both books are very cute and engaging, and will keep your child’s attention.
If your child is interested in learning more about what God’s plan is for their future, they will definitely enjoy The Plans I Have For You Devotional and Journal.

I know this would make a great gift for a family friend. Thank you
I would love to give this as a gift to my granddaughter! 🙂
I think my younger boys would love this. The 12 year old could read it to my 6 year old.
That’s a great idea, Laura!
This would be great for my nephew as he starts reading the Bible.
