These are the best Ray Harryhausen GIFs that I’ve seen in a long time. If you saw my previous post, you’ll remember that I’m a huge fan of Ray Harryhausen and his stop motion technique. He’s the person responsible for the animation in films like Jason and the Argonauts

Ray Harryhausen GIFs

Ray Harryhausen, who pioneerstop-motionion and visual effects for such films as Jason and the Argonauts, The 3 Worlds of Gulliver and The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, is being honored by Comet TV this month! I’m a big fan of old school movie monsters, and no one was more important when it came to making those famous beasts come to life than special effects pioneer Ray Harryhausen. Jim Henson. George Lucas. David Bowie. When these three legends got together in 1986, an all-time cult favorite was born. Of course, I’m talking about the nightmare-inducing puppet-filled ‘80s fantasy masterpiece known as Labyrinth. It’s one of those rare films that seems to get better each time you watch it.

  1. I watch Comet all the time. We “cit the cord” a few months ago, and we get 35 OTA channels. Comet is one of the latest additions.

  2. We also cut the cord a couple of years ago. My daughter loves Comet (I’m more a reader). I know I would love the TV and my grandson would go nuts for the little figures and the candy bones!

  3. I would love to win this awesome prize for my nephew because he loves Sci-Fi movies
    Thank You for the chance!

  4. Well first off we love Comet TV in our house so it’s on pretty much all the time due to our love for all the older movies and shows they play. Secondly, I’m a huge Ray Harryhausen fan, I remember watching One Million Years B.C. with my dad when I way just a young girl and I feel in love then so to win this would really make my day!

  5. Well, I was born in the 70’s soooo, yeah, this is my childhood! Of course I want to win this AND embarrass my kids when I wear the shirt and deck my truck out with the stickers and magnet. I plan on leaving the miniature figurines in random places especially around Christmas time so they can do bad things to our stinking ELF (on the Shelf) during the night…. I am just going to eat the candy bones, in front of my kids, especially the ones with braces who cannot eat them but, is reading this over my shoulder right now…. Yes, you. Go put the dogs up for the night and stop being nosy.

  6. I’d love to win because let’s face it, Labyrinth was the most awesomest movie ever made with David Bowie. Ray Harryhausen was a genius and I’ve seen so many of the movies mentioned above that showcased his work. Thank you Comet TV for honoring this man & his work! And Thank you for a wonderful giveaway! And why no, I haven’t seen any little skeleton warriors around here anywhere, do you have your car keys? I thought I heard some squeaky little voices mentioning McD’s… LOL

  7. I want to win because it features my favorite movie moment of all time! I get excited every time I see the hydras teeth planted, sowing the skeleton army. Arise!
