Smurfs The Lost Village

Smurfs The Lost Village follows Smurfette and her friends Brainy, Clumsy and Hefty on an exciting and thrilling race through the Forbidden Forest filled with magical creatures to find a mysterious lost village before the evil wizard Gargamel does. Embarking on a rollercoaster journey full of action and danger, the Smurfs are on a course that leads to the discovery of the biggest secret in Smurf history!

This movie features an all-star voice cast, including platinum-selling recording artist Demi Lovato (Camp Rock franchise) as Smurfette, Emmy®-nominated comic actor Rainn Wilson as Gargamel. Joe Manganiello (Magic Mike) as Hefty Smurf. Jack McBrayer as Clumsy Smurf. Danny Pudi as Brainy Smurf.

Michelle Rodriguez (The Fate of the Furious) as SmurfStorm. Ellie Kemper as SmurfBlossom. Ariel Winter as SmurfLily, with Mandy Patinkin as Papa Smurf and Academy Award® winner Julia Roberts (Best Actress, Erin Brockovich, 2000) as SmurfWillow.

My thoughts:

If you have fond memories of the Smurfs from when you were a child or when your kids were younger, you’ll definitely want to see Smurfs The Lost Village on DVD. I love that it has the voice of Julia Roberts as SmurfWillow.

She is such an amazing actress that I enjoy her in anything she’s in. The basic idea is that Smurfette and her friends use a special map to guide them through the Forbidden Forest full of magical creatures and find a mysterious village. Of course, they have to outwit and avoid Gargamel to get there. And, at the end, they discover something special.

This is a must watch for Smurf lovers, young and old. It’s super sweet and adorable and everything I remember the Smurfs being!
