1,000 Facts You Just Won’t Believe
When my kids were little, they used to come to me all the time saying… “Mom, did you know…. ?” and inevitably it would be some fact that I had never heard of before. If your child does the same thing, you’ll want to have them read Discovery Kids 1,000 Facts You Just Won’t Believe. Trust me, I was amazed by the information in this book. It’s broken down into different chapters based on the type of fact: animals/plants, human body, history, society and culture, planet earth, science and technology, and space.
Each of the facts is displayed along with colorful photographs and other interesting information. I love the range of information. There is everything from funny facts about bodily functions to interesting facts about our government. Did you know that canned food has been around since 1772 but the can opener has only been around since 1855? How about that eating snot can be good for you because it teaches your body to fight off germs? I promise, I did not make that up.
1,000 Facts You Just Won’t Believe is a fun book that will definitely keep your child interested. There are over 400 color photographs and 1,000 facts. This book is a fun way to keep kids learning over the summer without having them know they’re learning. Definitely recommend.
Ellen is a mom of a 25-year-old son and 30-year-old daughter. She is Grandma to one adorable toddler. In what little spare time she has, she loves to read, watch movies, and check out the latest toys and games.
I love the Discovery Kids TV programming too. This is a great activity to take along vacations. No batteries needed is always a good thing.
I totally agree, Deb!
My boys would love this book. They love discovering facts and things. My 14 year old is always telling me new things that he found out about.
