While both kids enjoyed reading, my son started off a bit slower than my daughter did. He was always more drawn to the pictures than the actual story. I found that an easy way to get him more interested in reading was to introduce him to graphic novels. A product was provided for this feature.

Breadwinners Graphic Novel
A graphic novel is basically a novel that is written in comic strip format. There are lots of pictures and the pages resemble a comic book bound in book form. You can see why this is an easy way to interest reluctant readers in reading.
Meet SwaySway and Buhdeuce, the quaziest, most determined bread delivery ducks in all of Pondgea. These never-say-die loaf lovers continue the animated antics from their hit show on Nickelodeon with riDUCKulous adventures in a set of all-new comic stories.
Following the September release of Sanjay and Craig: Fight the Future with Flavor, Papercutz is excited to introduce the latest entry in the graphic novel library from Nickelodeon and Papercutz. This 56-page Breadwinners graphic novel is filled with fun as SwaySway and Buhdeuce dodge the three-eyed monsters lurking in every corner of their watery world. Readers should buckle their seat belts and hold onto their tail feathers as their favorite feathered adventurers boldly go where no duck deliverymen have gone before!
Papercutz graphic novels for kids, tweens, and teens include a wide range of genres from humor, action adventure, mystery, and horror to favorite licensed characters.
Breadwinners: Journey to the Bottom of the Seats will be available in stores, online and in libraries on November 17 for the suggested price of $7.99 ($12.99 hardcover), making it the perfect holiday gift for the pint-sized ‘toon fan in your family. Yip-yip!

love to win this for my little niece
A comic strip type format might be really interesting to the kids. I struggle to find things that interest them when babysitting so I try to take along books and DVDs that can entertain. This one would be great for those that love pictures more than reading.
I would love to win as I think this would be fun reading.
I’m wondering if this would also encourage my kidlet to read.
