As with many aspects of our lives, social media, and smartphones have made huge changes to the way we live. While I’m definitely not dating at this point, my kids are, and I hear all about what they go through because of their exposure to social media and access to their smartphones.

Dating 3.0: Finding Love in the Age of Social Media and the Smart Phone
Dozens of dating and relationship books are published every year. What makes this one so special? Unlike most books written from a male or female perspective, Dating 3.0 is written by two nationally recognized psychologists who were once married—to each other.
What’s even more unique is that Dr. Antonio Borrello and Dr. Theresa Pavone are more qualified than anyone else to write such a game-changing resource; having taken their own relationship full circle, through divorce, and head-first into the exciting yet intimidating world of digital dating.
Married in the Vatican and divorced in Detroit, these newly single parents faced a dating game that had changed radically. Now, three years and countless experiences later, Antonio and Theresa did what any divorced couple would do— they joined forces to write a revolutionary new book and share the ultimate dating secrets they had learned.
My thoughts:
I cannot imagine being back in the dating world today. When I dated, social media and smartphone apps weren’t a thing. I didn’t have to deal with things like navigating a relationship with the challenges of social media thrown in. Dating 3.0: Finding Love in the Age of Social Media and the Smart Phone discusses a number of challenges that those in the dating scene today will have to deal with like setting up an online profile on a dating site or getting to know people using technology. But, there is also a lot of information that you can use even if you don’t plan on using social media or your smartphone in your search for a relationship.
I really appreciate that this book was written from both a male and female perspective. Too often, relationship books are written by one or the other when how we view things is often quite different. If you’re looking for a dating book with an interesting perspective, I would definitely recommend you read Dating 3.0: Finding Love in the Age of Social Media and the Smart Phone.
