A Letter to My Mom by Lisa ErspamerA Letter to My Mom has given me a solution. Each year, I struggle to try to figure what to get my Mom for Christmas. She’s impossible to shop for, and I never have any idea what to get. Since I know that she loves to read, I know that she’ll enjoy this touching book.

Just in time for Mother’s Day, the next book in the A Letter to My series (after A Letter to My Dog and A Letter to My Cat) takes on mothers, with celebrities and civilians writing letters of gratitude and admiration to the women who raised them, alongside gorgeous, intimate photos.

These are moms who made sure their children would never feel held back by disability; became roommates or business partners; put their lives at risk to keep their kids out of harm’s way; inspired their children to start families of their own, or simply made the best cookies of all time. Other featured celebrities include Cat Cora, Sarah Ferguson (Duchess of York), Josh Groban, Mariel Hemingway, Ali Landry, Monica Lewinsky, Lisa Ling, Dr. Phil McGraw, Robin Meade, Nancy O’Dell, Suze Orman, Kelly Osbourne, Ken Paves, Shaun Robinson, and Molly Sims.

A Letter to My Mom by Lisa Erspamer is a collection of letters written by ordinary people (and famous people) to their mothers. Each letter includes a personal story and photographs that share our love for our mothers. These stories made me laugh, smile and cry. Some reminded me of my mom, but they all touched me deeply.  I love that there are letters included by a few of my favorites (Suze Orman and Sarah Ferguson). It was so interesting to see a little look into their lives.

A Letter to My Mom by Lisa Erspamer would make an excellent gift for your mother at Christmas or anytime. It’s a gorgeous hardcover book, and each page is a different pastel shade. The whole thing is beautifully presented.
