Family Camp Movie
When the congregational pastor encourages them to sign up for a week away at family camp, Grace is convinced that she’s found their perfect cure-all. Even though they would all rather be anywhere but rustic Camp Katokwah!

About the movie
For Tommy Ackerman, church is a great place to be on Sunday mornings … if he can get his latest work deal closed on the back nine before the service ends. But when their pastor encourages the congregation to sign up for a week away at family camp, his wife Grace believes she’s found the perfect cure for her imperfect clan—even if they’d all rather be anywhere but at rustic Camp Katokwah.
Enter the Sanders clan. Dr. Eddie is a harmonica-playing chiropractor who sees himself as a Miyagi-like mentor for anyone who is not as spiritual as he is … which is pretty much everyone!
Soon, Tommy and Eddie are engaged in hilarious top-this battles instead of being focused on their families who desperately need them.
When all appears lost, Tommy and Eddie end up in the deep forest while hiking, truly lost. As everyone at camp desperately searches, the dads are forced to work together to discover a new direction if they hope to find their way back.
The first feature film from The Skit Guys, Family Camp is a laugh-out-loud comedy that will touch the hearts and tickle the funny bones of every family member from eight to eighty.
Family Camp movie cast
The cast includes familiar faces like Leigh-Allyn Baker (“Good Luck Charlie”), Gigi Orsillo, Cece Kelly (HALT), Robert Amaya (COURAGEOUS), and social media sensation Heather Land.
Who are The Skit Guys?
So, The Skit Guys are Tommy Woodard and Eddie James, who have been best friends since high school. They fell in love with acting through their involvement in the school’s theater productions and discovered they had a knack for making people laugh.
When Tommy invited Eddie to church, everything changed. With encouragement and guidance from their youth pastor, the guys started to write and perform skits for their youth group. No longer was it just about making people laugh. Their skits now had a bigger purpose.

Family Camp review
I love watching comedy movies. When I read the plot for the movie Family Camp by The Skit Guys, I knew I would be able to relate to the characters. Like many busy families, Grace feels like she, her husband, and her children are all growing apart.
The kids are growing up so quickly. And, her husband is always at work. When she hears about a family camp from her pastor, she knows this is going to fix everything. Of course, her family would rather be anywhere but camp.
I love the situations that the characters go through in this movie. Some I can completely relate to as a mom and a wife. Others, I just had to shake my head and wonder why they’d do that. Of course, that is part of the charm and part of the hilarious laughs that you’ll enjoy when you watch this.
Above all, I really appreciate that this film can be so funny without being inappropriate. It’s suitable for everyone from age 8 to 80. There are no concerns that your kids will see or hear something inappropriate when they watch this movie.
Grab your tickets right here and make sure that you watch Family Camp when it premiers in theaters tomorrow (5/13/22).
