Hope at Christmas

Recently divorced Sydney and her daughter Rayanne are seeking a fresh start and begin by visiting Hopewell, the small town in North Carolina where Sydney spent holidays with her grandparents as a young girl. Initially they’re only there to sell the house she inherited, Sydney and Rayanne are embraced by the town in ways that only fate and the magic of Christmas can explain, and Sydney soon finds herself hopelessly smitten by Mac, an elementary schoolteacher, fill-in Santa, and the very definition of “a good man.”

Hope at Christmas stars Scottie Thompson and Ryan Paevey.

Scottie Thompson

A dancer since childhood, Scottie Thompson danced professionally with the Richmond Ballet before receiving her bachelor’s degree in Performance Studies from Harvard University, where she discovered her passion for acting. Following graduation, she landed a recurring role on the Showtime series “Brotherhood” and went on to co-star in the NBC drama “Trauma,” and had a recurring role in a full season of “NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service.”

Ryan Paevey

Adventurous, humble, rugged and handsome are just a few words that could be used to describe Ryan Paevey. A relative newcomer to the entertainment business, Paevey is making waves and breaking hearts in his starring role as Detective Nathan West on ABC’s longest running soap opera “General Hospital.” Paevey joined the show in December 2013, and his character instantly became a fan favorite, spawning counterfeit social media accounts across Twitter and Facebook and attracting thousands of followers. He had the title role in the 2016 Hallmark Channel Original Movie “Unleashing Mr. Darcy,” and returned to the role for this year’s follow up movie “Marrying Mr. Darcy.” Paevey also starred in the 2017 Hallmark Channel Original Movie “Harvest Love.”
