Nickelodeon extends its line of “Let’s Learn” DVDs with the brand new Let’s Learn: Patterns and Shapes. In a fun-filled two hours of “edu-tainment,” kids can play along to five new episodes from Team Umizoomi, Dora the Explorer, Blue’s Clues and Ni Hao Ka-lan! as they explore circles, squares, triangles, and more.

I love when Nickelodeon combines characters from different shows and makes an educational show for little ones. There are five episodes (two hours total) including Team Umizoomi, Dora the Explorer, Blue’s Clues and Ni Hao Ka-lan. The topics they explore are circles, squares, triangles, and patterns. It even comes with a shapes worksheet too!

The Let’s Learn Patterns and Shapes DVD is a great back to school DVD for any preschooler, or kindergartner needing to learn shapes and patterns, or just as refresher. My oldest grandchild is five and the two younger are 4 and 2, so they learned a lot from watching these episodes and since it’s taught by characters they are familiar with. I like how watching their favorite characters kept their attention better. I plan on having them watch it weekly as part of our preschool learning since sometimes it works better then trying to get them to listen to me to teach them.
