About the book:

“The framers of our Constitution meant we were to have freedom of religion, not freedom from religion.” –Reverend Billy Graham

The Question Is Not If Attempts Will Be Made
to Limit Religious Freedoms, But When.

And When That Day Comes, Will You Stay Silent?

A storm is coming.

The most popular evangelist of his day, John Luther, simply wants to share the Gospel and enjoy a quiet life with his family. He never asked to be at the center of a political controversy, but an ill wind has been blowing through the halls of Congress, and supporters of a new religious-equality bill see Luther’s endorsement as critical.

But when Luther refuses to lend his support, he unknowingly sets in motion an explosive plan bent on destroying his reputation and undermining everything for which he stands. His once-normal life is turned upside down as he becomes a fugitive left with only one dangerous option–putting everything he holds most dear at risk while he fights to expose the truth. It is a mission that brings him face-to-face with the coming storm of persecution that could threaten the very fabric of our nation’s freedoms.

Persecuted I will not be silent by Robin Parrish

John Luther is a very popular evangelist. He isn’t out for fame or high living. He just wants to share the word of God and live a quiet life with his family. A friend (Senator Donald Harrison) with political connections wants him to support a new group that promotes religious equality. This goes against everything that John believes in about God’s word. He turns him down but has no idea what a dangerous move that was.  Senator Harrison cannot let John’s lack of support stand in the way of his plans. He will stop him at any cost even if that means destroying his life and his family.

John is framed for the death and possible rape of a teenage girl. Unable to go home to his wife, he finds himself on the run and not sure of who he can trust.  He needs to find out what’s going on and prove that he is innocent. He has to fight to expose the plans of those behind the religious equality bill before it destroys our country’s religious freedom.

This book is based on a Daniel Lusko film. I love a good political thriller and this one is especially interesting because it is so realistic. I can honestly see this happening in our country and a few of the things the author mentions in the book already have.  When you hear about religious persecution, no one thinks that it actually happens in this country but it does and if you read this book, you will see how and you might be surprised what you learn. If you enjoy political thrillers or books with a religious theme, I definitely recommend that you read Persecuted I will not be silent by Robin Parrish.

  1. I’d like to win this to read since I like political thrillers and his name reminds me of my Lutheran upbringing. I’ve had close friends make fun of my religious believes but didn’t have to tolerate as much as some. I also deeply value our religious freedom and this is relevant in today’s sad government turmoil.
