My movie review

“Show Me Your Glory” is one of those films that hits close to home for a lot of people. It’s not just a movie. It’s a conversation. One that many of us have had with God in a hospital room, after a loss, or during some long night when sleep won’t come. It asks real questions—hard ones. Why does God heal some and not others? Why does suffering seem so unfair? And where is God in the middle of all of it?

This documentary doesn’t pretend to have all the answers. That’s one of the things I liked most about it. It doesn’t try to clean everything up with a bow. Instead, it opens the door to stories. Real stories. From real people. Some saw miracles. Some didn’t. But in all of them, God was there.

This movie is real

The movie is a mix of testimonies, expert interviews, and powerful visuals. It’s well put together, but not flashy. The focus stays on the message, not the production. And the message is clear: God still moves. He still speaks. He still heals. Even when He doesn’t, His presence is real and close.

You’ll hear from people who were sick, dying, or grieving. People who prayed desperate prayers. Some saw healing that doctors couldn’t explain. Others didn’t, but found peace and purpose in the pain. The stories are honest. No hype. No sugarcoating. Just raw faith and real struggle.

For Christians, this film is a reminder we all need. We believe in a God who does the impossible. But we don’t always talk about the times He seems silent. This movie makes space for both. It doesn’t lose hope, but it doesn’t ignore the hard stuff either.

There are also interviews with pastors, scientists, and doctors. People who have studied miracles and suffering from different angles. They offer some solid insights. But again, the film keeps it simple. It’s not a lecture. It’s a reminder that the God of the Bible is still the God of today.

What stood out to me the most was the balance. It’s easy to swing one way or the other—either pretending miracles happen all the time, or acting like they never do. This movie walks the middle. It celebrates the moments God breaks through. But it also honors the waiting. The mystery. The trust it takes to believe when things don’t make sense.

Bottom line

If you’re going through something hard right now—or if someone you love is—this movie will speak to you. Not with perfect answers, but with hope. It doesn’t fix everything. But it points you back to the One who can. Or the One who simply holds you when He doesn’t.

This film is a great small group watch, or something to see with friends and talk about after. It opens the door to some deep and real conversations. And we need more of those.
