Stick Man DVD
From the makers of The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom, this beautifully animated adventure tells the tale of Stick Man and his epic adventures across the seasons. While out for a jog,
Stick Man is carried away from his family tree by a mischievous dog eager to play fetch! As he tries to make his way back to his “Stock Lady Love and their stick children three,” things only get worse as he finds himself farther and farther from home.
Alone and weary, Stick Man longs to be reunited with his family for Christmas. Will a chance encounter with Santa Claus be his ticket home?
This Stick Man DVD is based on the beloved children’s book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. Hugh Bonneville, Rob Brydon, Martin Freeman, Sally Hawkins, Jennifer Saunders, and Russell Tovey bring Donaldson’s alluring and bouncy rhymes to life in this heartwarming family resource.
My thoughts:
This movie is such a refreshing change from the traditional Christmas movies that we watch each year. The story is cute and the rhyming makes it even more adorable. Plus, the bright illustrations and cheerful Stickman will keep your younger child’s attention.
Since we were a fan of the movie The Gruffalo, I knew that we’d enjoy this once because it’s from the creators of that movie. There is even a special feature behind the scenes documentary included on this DVD.
So, if you’re looking for a new Christmas DVD, I hope that you’ll watch Stick Man DVD. Buy it now.
