When I was younger, I visited a local museum that had clothes, household items, and toys from hundreds of years ago. I was completely fascinated by all of the vintage toys. I would have spent hours in there if I could and the experience has stuck with me since then.

Collectible Tin Toys – Carousel
One of my favorite collectible tin toys where the carousels. I loved watching them spin around and around. So, I was very excited to see that the Tin Toy Arcade offers vintage and classic toys for kids including some fun collectible tin toys!
I received this beautiful French Carousel that seats six people. This French Carousel is made of all tin and it spins using a thumb switch winder. It is decorated with black, red, and gold European lithography and is an all-tin reproduction of a European toy of the 1920s and 1930s. There are three different carousels in this carousel series.

This carousel is not intended to be collected or used by children under the age of 13. It’s meant to be collected rather than played with and it comes in a beautiful collector’s box with a color image on it for that reason. It stands about 4 inches tall and has total dimensions of 4 x 3 x 3 inches.
Reproduction tin toys
I truly fell in love with this carousel when I saw it. The carousel looks so authentic from the colors they chose to the workmanship. It’s made from a flat sheet of metal that is printed and then cut into separate pieces. Each piece is formed into the final shape by passing through a number of tooling stations or until it reaches the final shape. The pieces are then assembled by hand to create a single finished toy.
The collectible tin toys from Tin Toy Arcade are an affordable way to create a nostalgic collection of tin toys or to share the love of vintage toys with someone else.

Love this carousel! I don’t collect anything since I have a small apt but love looking at other people’s treasures! I also like to visit the museums and see historical pieces. Thanks for sharing this!
Glad to share, Deb. I love museums too!
I don’t really remember tin toys as a kid. There were a couple my mom had saved with my grandparents but not many. This toy is awesome! It’s in great condition too.
It’s a reproduction, Leslie, but it does look really realistic.
I love old toys like this!! So neat!!
Thanks, Heather. I thought so.
