PBS Distribution announced it is releasing the new gift-set “DANIEL TIGER’S HAPPY HOLIDAYS DVD + FIGURINE” on November 4. This new gift-set from the popular PBS KIDS series offers two ways to interact with Daniel Tiger. The DVD “Daniel Tiger’s Happy Holidays” includes seven grr-ific tales, one of which, Snowflake Day!, is a special double episode. The gift-set also features a Daniel Tiger figurine with movable head and arms. Kids will love watching these fun-filled stories while playing with the Daniel Tiger figurine.
The first TV series inspired by the iconic, award-winning MISTER ROGERS’ NEIGHBORHOOD, DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD, from The Fred Rogers Company, stars 4-year-old Daniel Tiger, son of the original program’s Daniel Striped Tiger, who invites young viewers into his world, giving them a kid’s-eye view of his life. As they closely follow and share Daniel’s everyday adventures, preschoolers ages 2-4 and their families learn the fun and practical strategies and skills necessary for growing and learning. One of the key ingredients that sets the series apart is its groundbreaking use of catchy, musical strategies that reinforce each theme and that preschoolers and parents will both sing – and use – together in their daily lives. DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD, which debuted in September 2012, airs Monday-Friday on PBS KIDS (check local listings).

Daniel Tiger is a children’s TV series on PBS that is made for preschoolers. Daniel Tiger teaches chidlren practical skills they’ll need to deal with everyday experiences like being kind to friends and family, dressing up for Halloween and celebrating different holidays. Included on this DVD is a special holiday musical called Snowflake Day! Daniel is a snowflake in the musical and he’s very excited about it. Everyone works together to make the show a fun time.
There are seven different stories:

- Katerina’s Costume
- Dress Up Day
- Something Special for Dad
- I Love You, Mom
- Thank You, Grandpere Tiger!
- Neighborhood Thank You day
There is also a Daniel Tiger figurine included with moveable head and arms that will encourage your child to play along with the DVD. If your child is a fan of Daniel Tiger, this will be a wonderful Christmas gift for them. It is intended for children ages 3 and up.
Ellen is a mom of a 25-year-old son and 30-year-old daughter. She is Grandma to one adorable toddler. In what little spare time she has, she loves to read, watch movies, and check out the latest toys and games.
Just as cute as it can be and I’m sure will lead to asking to purchase more figurines, lol, although they are very affordable. This looks like a great gift and I would really stick to the recommended age minimum with the smallness of the figurine. PBS is the best.
