I have always loved all of the British dramas on television. I cannot tell you how many hours I’ve spent curled up on the couch with a cup of tea watching British programming. My Mom got me hooked when I was younger. She’s actually traveled to England a few times and gotten to see some of the places the stories take place herself. For those (like me) that have never made it to England, watching British dramas is still loads of fun.

Mr. Selfridge Season 4 on DVD
London, 1928. Nine years have passed and Harry Selfridge (three-time Emmy Award winner Jeremy Piven) is at the pinnacle of his wealth and celebrity, enjoying the frenzy of the roaring ’20s.
But in this buzzing, fast-evolving world, Harry is splashing his cash in an unprecedented, dangerous way. As creditors close in, can Harry seal the deal that will save his mercantile empire?
Co-starring Amanda Abbington (Sherlock), Katherine Kelly (Coronation Street), Tom Goodman-Hill (The Imitation Game), and many others, the farewell season follows the unpredictable arc of Harry’s career to its thrilling climax, charting the fate of the showman with the big heart, shaky morals, and dogged belief that the dice roll will save him – and the store – every time.
Mr. Selfridge is a British television drama about Harry Selfridge and the department store that he owns in London in the early 1900s. Of course, it’s about much more than just Harry Selfridge and the department store.
Mr. Selfridge is loaded with drama, intrigue, affairs, and suspense. I really love checking out the clothes and hairstyles from the 20s. It’s one of my favorite time periods and this drama takes place during the time when women were really starting to get more rights and change their place in society which made it even more interesting.
Special features
Mr. Selfridge Season 4 on DVD contains 3 discs and 7.5 hours of programming. There are 4 special features:

- Interview with Jeremy Piven
Finally, if you are a fan of Mr. Selfridge or just love British programming, you’ll want to buy it today.
Ellen is a mom of a 25-year-old son and 30-year-old daughter. She is Grandma to one adorable toddler. In what little spare time she has, she loves to read, watch movies, and check out the latest toys and games.
I have seen a couple of episodes of Mr. Selfridge. I love the costumes! I would love to catch it from the start.
It’s definitely a great show!
I also love British programming and have fallen for many on PBS. I’m looking forward to this series since I’ve not seen any episodes yet, and it looks like something I’d enjoy. It’s on my radar and hope to catch a sale to buy them all! Thanks for the review.
Glad to share, Deb. Hope you have a chance to watch it.
I can’t believe I caught the last 20 minutes of the very last episode last night!! That’s like reading the ending of the book before you even start it, lol. It was good and the last 10 minutes of the PBS show was a snippet of the whole series and some interviews with the cast. The DVD series will be good. Thanks again for the review.
Oh definitely start from the beginning! It’s a great series!
