The Hobbit The Battle of The Five Armies

Last Updated on December 29, 2017 by ellen

OK so you have probably heard me mention before that everyone in my house LOVES (and that is LOVES with a capital L) the Lord of the Rings movies. While I enjoy the Lord of the Rings movies, The Hobbit is my all time favorite. Actually, long before I saw the movies, I loved the book and fell in love with Bilbo Baggins in his little Hobbit-hole.

The Hobbit The Battle of The Five Armies

So, if you are a fan of the Lord of the Rings books or movies, you will probably remember The Battle of the Five Armies. Right? If you don’t remember, The Battle of the Five Armies is a battle that was fought between the Goblins and the Wargs against Men of Dale, Elves, Dwarves, Eagles and a Shape-shifter on the Lonely Mountain. Sadly Thorin II Oakenshield is wounded and dies after the battle.

If you’ve read the books, you know all about it. If you haven’t, I won’t spoil the story because The Hobbit The Battle of The Five Armies is coming! From Academy Award-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson comes “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies,” the third in a trilogy of films adapting the enduringly popular masterpiece The Hobbit, by J.R.R. Tolkien. “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” brings to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield and the Company of Dwarves. Having reclaimed their homeland from the Dragon Smaug, the Company has unwittingly unleashed a deadly force into the world.

  1. I got Tauriel’s Bow and Arrow too! Like you, all our family watches the LOTR movies over & over without tiring of them – it’s one thing that we can all agree on! Even better, our daughters are starting to read the books – we love that!
