Am I the only one whose kids spent hours playing with Transformers? I can remember trying to figure out how to make those things transform, and I could never get it. But, I’d give it to my 6-year-old and he’d figure it out in seconds. We had Transformers everywhere! If Transformers are hot in your family, you’ll want to watch the 30th Anniversary Edition of The Transformers The Movie DVD.

The Transformers The Movie DVD
The year is 2005… For millennia, the heroic Autobots, led by Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen), have been at war with the evil Megatron (Frank Welker) and his Decepticons over control of their home planet of Cybertron.
However, an even greater threat: Unicron (Orson Welles, Citizen Kane), a colossal converting planet that devours everything in its path and is heading right for Cybertron. The only hope is the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. Will the Autobots be able to save themselves and their home world in time?
An all-star cast, including Judd Nelson (The Breakfast Club), Leonard Nimoy (Star Trek), Eric Idle (the Monty Python films) and Robert Stack (The Untouchables), brings this inimitable, explosively entertaining Autobot adventure to life.
My thoughts:
For those who love Transformers, this is a must have. There are bonus features that include a documentary looking back at The Transformers, audio commentary with the director, featurettes, storyboards, trailers and TV spots.
The bonus footage alone makes this a great collector’s item. What drew me to the DVD was the cast. I adore Judd Nelson and Leonard Nimoy and having them as part of this DVD was fantastic. My husband is a huge Monty Python fan so he appreciated Eric Idle’s part in the movie.
Whether you have a Transformers fan in your home, or you want the DVD to relive your childhood, you definitely need to add this one to your collection.
Ellen is a mom of a 25-year-old son and 30-year-old daughter. She is Grandma to one adorable toddler. In what little spare time she has, she loves to read, watch movies, and check out the latest toys and games.
My boys love Transformers. They have lots of the action figures.
They are loads of fun!
My son is the same, he can transform them in seconds! My son would love this movie.
I’m sure he would!
Thank you so much for the vivid review on The Transformers The Movie DVD. My nephew would just love to see this movie, and the music would be just great for him too.
I’m sure he would enjoy it!
I love the Transformers! When I’m channel hopping, if I come across one of the Transformer movies, I’m stuck on the channel until it’s over. Doesn’t matter where I come in. I adore those big car guys! I’d love to have a car like Bumblebee & Optimus Prime is so cool!
Me too! That would be fun!
