Tyson’s Run – Inspirational Drama
Have you ever found yourself trying to get the approval of a parent? If not, then I’m sure that there are plenty who have. That’s where Tyson finds himself as he watches his hero father lead their high school football team. This film reminds us all to work towards our dreams and never stop trying.
PLUS, Four-time Grammy Award-winning gospel singer Yolanda Adams recorded If You Be-lieve, an original song, just for Tyson’s Run. I was so excited to see this since it’s such a beautiful song.

About Tyson’s Run
When fifteen-year-old Tyson attends public school for the first time, his life is changed forever. While helping his father clean up after the football team, Tyson befriends champion marathon runner Aklilu. Never letting his autism hold him back, Tyson becomes determined to run his first marathon in hopes of winning his father’s approval.
With the help of an unlikely friend and his parents, Tyson learns that with faith in yourself and the courage to take the first step, anything is possible.
About the cast of Tyson’s Run
MAJOR DODSON is best known for his role of Sam Anderson on AMC’s International smash hit series “The Walking Dead.” Other projects include LEFT BEHIND, “American Horror Story,” and “Revolution.” Dodson is currently featured in the inspirational drama TYSON’S RUN in theaters Spring 2022. Dodson currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
AMY SMART can most recently be seen opposite Luke Wilson in STARGIRL on The CW. Previously she recured on MACGYVER for CBS and did a season long arc on FX’s critically acclaimed series JUSTIFIED.
LAYLA FELDER is an 18-year-old actor, model, stand-up comedian, writer, and opera & art aficionado born in NYC and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Layla was 6 months old when she began work as a model and actor and has appeared in print ads and commercials for companies such as Clinique, DKNY, Target, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s and Coca-Cola.

Tyson’s Run review
Tyson desperately want to fit in at school but he struggles with this because he is on the autism spectrum. He feels like he never has his father’s complete approval and wants to change that.
While he’s helping his father clean up after a football game, he meets a marathon runner and decides that he is going to complete a marathon himself. With patience and a lot of mentoring, Tyson works toward this goal despite the stumbling blocks he encounters.
While he’s working toward achieving this goal, both he and his father grow and learn valuable lessons about each other.
