My review
Kelsey is left at the alter and is ashamed and embarrassed. She doesn’t know how to face her friends and neighbors and feels completely humiliated. She gives up on her faith and is looking for a way out.
After she seems missionaries from Taiwan, she sees this as a new beginning and a way to start over. But, this isn’t without challenges. She has to deal with difficult students and find a way to reach them. Through this experience, she meets Horace and begins to develop a friendship and learns to love Taiwan.
This is such a beautiful story. I loved watching Kelsey open up to Horace and to Taiwan. It was fascinating to see life in another culture and how different it is from here. And, it was so rewarding to be reminded that everything has a time in our lives. We simply need to trust God to get us there rather than fighting to have things our way.
