The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles find themselves on the adventure of a lifetime. They accidentally time travel back to the Jurassic Era in Half-Shell Heroes: Blast to the Past. During the 2D-animated special, the Turtles encounter friendly dinosaurs from the past and dangerous aliens from the future who have a nefarious plan of their own.

Using their ninja skills and having some fun along the way, the four brothers must find a way to save the day and get back home. It kicks off the “Year of the Turtle” leading up to the 2016 theatrical release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows! It was created by Nickelodeon and distributed by Paramount Home Media Distribution. This exciting adventure will be available on DVD March 15, 2016 for the suggested retail price of $14.99.

Blast to the Past DVD review

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles get sent back in time to the days of dinosaurs and have to find a way to return home. They make friends with the dinosaurs. But, they have to battle the aliens in order to stop them from trying to rule the galaxy so they can get back home.

This is a fun 2D animated version that is made to look like the toy line. It’s a great tie-in. Your child will want to watch over and over again as they play with their action figure.

  4. TMNT is a DVD I’d love to watch babysitting the kids and of course I love dinosaurs, aliens, and time travel as well. TMNT used to be all over the regular TV programming but I can’t find it anymore so a DVD would be perfect and love the name Blast from the Past.
