In their sixth DVD release, the genies-in-training take to Zahramay Skies for a series of adventures through fluffy clouds and over glittering rainbows. From learning about stardust magic to discovering the enchanting stars of Zahramay Skies, and participating in the Zahracorn race, Shimmer and Shine’s journeys are always filled with magic and valuable lessons. • Welcome to Zahramay Skies – Shimmer, Shine and Leah travel to the magical world of Zahramay Skies to meet the Stardust Princess and learn about her magic.
• Pets to the Rescue – When the girls and their pets visit Zahramay Skies, they discover their pets have wings and can fly.
• The Zahra-Star – After the Zahra-star’s magic enters Shimmer and Zahrora’s jewels, Shimmer, Shine and Leah must return the magic to the star so the Zahracorns can find their way home.
• Rainbows to the Rescue – When Zeta uses a potion to stop all the stars from flying in Zahramay Skies, it accidentally ends all flight magic.
• Zahracorn Tickles – After Zeta finds out that Shimmer, Shine and Leah are participating in a Zahracorn race, she decides she needs a Zahracorn so that she can enter the race too.
• The Zahracorn Salon – The girls take Adara’s Zahracorn to the salon, but when she gets scared away, it’s up to them to find her.
• The Dragon Zahracorn – Shimmer, Shine and Leah join Shaun, a Cloud Genie, on a quest to find a mythical creature. While discovering clues that lead them closer to the creature, they accidentally get trapped between two moving landmasses, making Shaun wonder if the journey was worth it.

My thoughts:

Shimmer and Shine is such a fun show for kids. I love how bright and upbeat and bubbly they are. And, when you add the Zahracorns into the show, it’s even cuter! Of course, it’s more than fun. Shimmer and Shine teach kids all sorts of important lessons from helping to making friends. It’s a great way to help kids learn the social skills they need to develop.
