About Heaven Sent

Elise and her grandson, Derek, were inseparable when he was a child but they are growing apart as he’s gotten older. Now that he’s older, she’s having a hard time letting him grow up and make his own choices as an adult.

Pastor Patrick Briggs lost his wife 5 years ago. His parish tries to play matchmaker, but he resist their help. He stops by Elise’s shop one day but their first meeting doesn’t go that well.

After a misunderstanding, Elise attends a speed dating night and by chance meets Pastor Patrick again. Without knowing, Derek decides that he will live stream his Grandmother’s new romance.

Heaven Sent review

I love this movie features older adults. In today’s world, it’s so refreshing seeing people get a second chance at romantic love with someone meaningful and mature.

Of course, as an older adult, this movie is also about letting go of the past and forgiving. Finding love after loss or a bad relationship is something that many can relate to.

The characters in the film were realistic and likeable which made the movie even more enjoyable. This movie is sweet and inspiring and one I highly recommend.

The overall theme of trusting God and letting the past go to find better things in the future is perfect for Valentine’s Day.

If you’re looking for a Christian romantic comedy, this is it. Grab a bowl of popcorn and tune in to watch it on Pure Flix.
