There are lots of horror theme party ideas you can create that will fit with Ma. Ma is a psychological horror film from Tate Taylor and Blumhouse. Ma is about a lonely woman who befriends a group of teenagers who are looking for a place to party. She offers them her basement with a few important conditions. They think they’ve found a fantastic solution until things start going wrong.

Ma is a middle-aged black woman who befriends a group of teenagers. So, you basically have two options for dressing up. So, Ma is seen wearing a blue denim baseball cap with the word SEXY in rhinestones. You could easily recreate that hat or this one from Amazon is pretty close.
Horror theme decoration ideas
Basically, Ma takes place in a basement so keep that in mind when considering decorations. So, think wooden crates, metal shelving, cobwebs, candles, and dim lighting. Turn the lights off and let the candlelight illuminate the room. Of course, you should have it at night so it’s even spookier because that will make it more fun.
Horror movie marathon ideas
Since there is only one Ma movie, why not try watching a few other Blumhouse horror films. Just a few you might enjoy are Truth or Dare, The Purge or Insidious. The kids have watched Insidious and say it was amazing.

These guten-free chocolate cupcakes are perfect for any horror film including the movie Ma.
Ingredients
- 1 box of gluten-free chocolate cake mix prepared according to directions
- 1 can of white frosting
- 1 tube of red food gel
Instructions
- Prepare the cupcakes according to the directions on the box. Allow them to cool completely.
- Cover each with a layer of white frosting.
- Add remaining frosting to the decorating bag and draw a single line down the center of each cupcake.
- Then make squiggly lines back and forth on each half of the line to make the cupcake look like a brain.
- Using the red food gel, drizzle "blood" all over the top of the cupcake.
