Race Car Crafts Kids Can Make
There are lots of car craft ides from toilet paper cars to Pine Wood Derby cars. After all, what child doesn’t enjoy vrooming their racing car around the floor? I know that my kids spent hours in various car-related activities when they were little.

If you’re looking for car crafts for preschoolers, this is perfect, All you need is an empty water bottle and a few simple craft supplies you probably already have in your craft closet. An adult will need to use a utility knife to cut out one portion of the water bottle. And, your child will need to have scissor skills to cut pieces from the construction paper. Ready. Race, Rescue!
The PAW Patrol is shifting into high-gear in PAW Patrol: Ready, Race, Rescue, an all-new feature-length special episode. Currently, in its sixth season, PAW Patrol follows a pack of heroic rescue pups – Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Skye, Rocky, Zuma, Everest, and Tracker – who are led by a tech-savvy boy named Ryder. Together, they work hard to show the people of Adventure Bay that “no job is too big, no pup is too small!” The series features a curriculum that focuses on citizenship, social skills and problem – solving. Materials for this race car craft
1 empty water bottle
1 sheet construction paper in each color: black, blue, white, yellow, red
Glue
Circle punch, optional
Star punch, optional
Scissors
Pencil
Utility knife
Directions
Trace the bottom of the water bottle on the blue construction paper. Cut out the circle.
Place the water bottle on the remainder of the blue construction paper piece. Using a pencil, mark the paper for the length of the bottle. Fold the paper and then cut along the line created by the fold.
Run a line of glue along the bottom of the bottle and attach the blue circle. Then, run glue down the side of the bottle and roll the construction around the bottle, gluing where the paper overlaps.
With a utility knife, carefully cut a space through the paper into the bottle to create an opening. Push the paper and the flap into the bottle.
From the white and the yellow paper, cut two skinny strips from each piece. These should be glued to each side of the police car as the racing stripes.
Use a circle hole punch or by tracing a circle on to the black paper, create four circles for the wheels. Attach to the car.
Also from the black construction paper, cut a thick rectangle the same width of the water bottle and attach to the front of the car as the bumper/towing gear.
Using a star punch, cut a star from the yellow construction paper. Attach to the hood area of the car. Then, cut two small squares and attach for the headlights.
From the red construction paper, cut two small squares and attach behind the open seat.
If desired, cut an additional strip of blue construction paper to fit the open section/seat area. Shove the cut piece of paper into the seat and glue to attach.
