Today, the Special Air Service is the world’s most famous combat unit with the motto “Who Dares Wins” but the story of how it came into existence has been, until now, a closely guarded secret.

For the first time, the SAS has agreed to open up its archives and allow Ben Macintyre to reveal the true story of their formation during the darkest days of World War II.

With unprecedented access to the SAS secret files, unseen footage and exclusive interviews with its founder members, this series tells the remarkable story behind an extraordinary fighting force.

My thoughts:

If you’re interested in World War II or any type of military movie, you’ll love the details and interviews included on this DVD. There’s 175 minutes worth of programming included. And, it really gives you a lot of background detail about the SAS Rogue Warriors.

My husband, who has watched a lot of World War II documentaries, was impressed with the depth of information and the fact that it included footage that hasn’t been seen before on news programs. This program was originally seen on BBC.

This SAS Rogue Warriors DVD is definitely a must watch for any history buffs on your gift list. Buy it now and watch SAS Rogue Warriors.

  1. This looks great Ellen. I so appreciate all the excellent programming PBS has to offer. I’ve been catching up on random older mystery series shows from the BBC that I prefer to watch over the American sitcoms and reality TV. Always keeps my interest and great variety, like this one.
