Sons of Thunder Redemption
This show follows season one of Sons of Thunder. It’s a separate show so you can enjoy it even if you haven’t watched the first one.
This new show follows Jacob, fresh out of prison for crimes he committed as a member of the biker club. But his stint behind bars was freeing because it allowed him an encounter with fan-favorite Simon who helped change not only just one life but countless others in need across America!
Rocky Myers stars as Jacob and is joined by Charlene Amoia as Sandy; Tyler Johnson as Logan; Kristy Swanson as Linda; and Wyatt Walter as Cooper. If you enjoyed the Sons of Thunder series, make sure that you plan to watch Redemption.

Season 1 Episode 4 – Date Night
Season 1 aired on January 13th and features Jacob in a variety of different situation that test his strength as a Christian. These situations range from gambling and infidelity to ego and bad habits. I love that this series deals with these situations in a very realistic manner. It’s not at all preachy and the characters aren’t perfect.
In this episode, Jacob finally convinces Sandy to go out on a date with him. And, he hopes to be able to get her to forgive him. This is definitely a difficult episode that will touch the hearts of many viewers. I don’t want to give away too much information because I really want you to watch it.
But, despite the subject, I thought that they handled it perfectly. It’s something that lots of people – Christian or otherwise – will definitely be able to relate to. And, I really love that they handled it in a Christian manner even though it isn’t the way popular media portrays things typically.
It takes a much stronger person to forgive than it does to get revenge. My two favorite Bible verses that relate to this show are:
-
In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. – Ephesians 4:26-28
-
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. – Matthew 5:44-45
If you’re looking for TV programming with a strong male lead that manages to be both Christ centered and realistic at the same time, I really think that you would enjoy this series.
