Jake’s’ cousin Remy drops her newborn daughter, Abigail off with him one morning. She’s decided that she just isn’t a good mother and has signed over rights to Jake to care for Abigail and then disappeared. Jake doesn’t know anything about babies or have any supplies to care for her. He has a job he has to go to and turns to the only person he can think of, Violet Crenshaw.
Jake disagrees with how Violet negotiated the purchase of his uncle’s pediatrician practice. But, she’s the only one that Jake knows who knows anything about babies. Violet doesn’t like Jake or the way he jumped to conclusions about her but she cannot turn her back on Abigail. Can they both put aside their differences and resist the beginnings of feelings for each other?
The Doctor’s Second Chance by Missy Tippens is a fun, easy contemporary Christian romance. I really liked both Jake and Violet and enjoyed watching the sparks fly between them as they worked out their feelings for each other.
