I’ve discovered a new game addiction – Moshling Rescue. Moshling Rescue is a free game that is actually geared toward parents. If you have kids, I’m sure you’ve heard of Moshlings. Moshlings are pets for your Moshi Monsters and there are a variety of different online games devoted to them that are geared toward kids – or kids at heart.

Moshling Rescue is a game for adults from Mind Candy. You can play it on Facebook and of course on your iPhone, iPad or iPod. I’ve been playing it on my iPhone at night to blow off steam after working all day. Moshling Rescue is a Match-3 type puzzle game. Here is a bit about the game:
Moshling Rescue is the next evolution of Match-3 gameplay, combining a variety of unique gameplay modes with a character-driven narrative and a unique collection mechanic, to provide hours of enjoyment for an older audience. With fun yet challenging gameplay, players must match the gummies to rescue the Moshlings as they explore hundreds of adventure-packed levels. When the going gets tough, players can purchase boosts and extra lives to enhance their entertainment.
Moshling Rescue is a bit similar to Bejeweled or Farm Heroes Saga if you’ve played those. Each level has a different mission to accomplish with each level getting harder as your progress. You match different colored gummies or eliminate goop to advance your Moshling along on his journey. As the levels get more difficult, you may need to blast your way through to the next row or eliminate enemies before you get glumped. As you complete each level, your Moshling will move to the next. You can buy boosts or extra lives if you need them through in app purchases. You can connect with friends on Facebook as well for them to help you out. As you complete each set, you earn jellybeans that are used as currency.
Here are a few screenshots from the game:
