Kids Fairy Craft
If your child is in love with fairies, you may want to make them their very own fairy crown to wear while you make this project. It’s such a cute craft.
Or, they may enjoy being able to design and create their own fairy. This kit has everything they need to get started.
If your child is hoping that there are fairies living in the backyard somewhere, what better way to entice them to be seen than by making a DIY fairy house.
I’ve seen lots of different ways to make a fairy house before but I wanted something that was simple enough for a younger child to do.
An older child might want to make a fairy house out of popsicle sticks. Or, they have lots of fairy house kits that have everything you need all in one place.
Fairy house craft ideas
So, if you want a few more ideas for a kids fairy craft, here you go:
- Make a house from a shoebox.
- Glue together popsicle sticks.
- Use an upside-down clay pot with a crack in it.
- Get a small birdhouse.
- Check out these fairy garden pots ideas.
Materials needed
This is what you need to create your very own kids fairy craft.
- White paper bowl
- Red marker
- Red solo cup
- Scissors
- Acorn
- Hot glue gun & glue sticks
What do you put in a fairy garden for kids?
If you want to give your child a little area in the garden for them to make a fairy village, you can certainly do that. There are lots of things you can add to give the area a bit of magic.
Or, why not let them make a few more kids fairy craft ideas to keep them occupied.
- Broken flower pot pieces
- Painted rocks
- Miniature flags
- Colorful flowers
Can I leave this outside?
No, this isn’t weatherproof. The roof of the fairy house is made of paper so it will get damp if it rains. If you have a protected area, your child can leave the house there as long as it stays dry.
If you want a kids fairy craft you can leave outside, I would recommend a white plastic bowl and waterproof paints or markers.
Directions
- Flip the paper bowl upside down, and draw abstract shapes/circles with the red marker. Color in each shape. This is a great activity for kids, as they can make any shapes they want, and practice staying in the lines when coloring.
- Flip the cup upside down. Using scissors, cut a line approximately 1 ½†up, and then 1†to the left from any side of the opening. Bend the opening back to make a crease for your door. Hot glue the acorn top to be the handle for your fairy house door.
- Next, cut up some faux greenery to approximately 2 ½-3â€. Hot glue the greenery on both sides of the door, and then fill in all around the sides of the cup. Lastly, hot glue the paper bowl to the top of the upside-down cup.
Kids fairy toys
If your child loves fairies (and who doesn’t), they will definitely enjoy a few of these themed toys. I love being able to encourage creative play and imagination. These toys would be loads of fun along with this kids fairy craft.
